Ep. 44: Shouryuu infiltrates Gen army, Atsuyu surrenders then dies, Kouya spared

Shouryuu secretly joins the Gen army and finds Rokuta trying to flee. Provincial troops assault workers reinforcing the embankment while locals fight back. This evidence convinces the king of En, leading to a meeting with Atsuyu where Shouryuu reveals himself. Atsuyu’s hesitation is clear, and he eventually admits defeat. However, he attacks Shouryuu from behind and is killed by a youma guard. Later, Shouryuu, Rokuta, and Kouya face off. Shouryuu spares Kouya, promising to build a kingdom suitable for him and the youma. Kouya then rides his youma away into the distance.
