Hajime discovers a hidden microphone used by the murderer to eavesdrop on the group. He utilizes this device to capture the culprit, identified as Eiji Touno. Investigation reveals Touno murdered Shigeru Kikkawa and disguised the corpse as his own. His motive was revenge against an individual with the initials "S.K." who allegedly sacrificed Touno's sister, Keiko, during the Oriental Cruise Disaster to save others. Following his capture, Touno escapes and pilots a motorboat onto the lake. He detonates the vessel, causing the water to appear red from the sunset. Subsequently, Yousuke Itsuki presents Hajime with a photograph of Eiji Touno alongside his sister, Keiko Goizume, noting her strong physical resemblance to Miyuki.
