Mar 21, 2004After a stone tablet vanishes, Kiyo and Zatch seek strength to become king by mastering their spell book. They encounter Kido and Doctor Riddles, who challenge them to a contest against The Majestic 12. The Professor uses this group to pose a riddle, which Kiyo solves correctly, causing the creatures to leave. The next day, Riddles issues a battle challenge, promising to reveal book secrets if the pair wins. During the fight, Zatch and Kiyo are repeatedly overpowered by Kido. Riddles offers hints through riddles, leading Kiyo to realize that power resides within the mamodo, not the book. As Zatch grasps this truth, the sixth spell activates, striking him with lightning. For the first time, Zatch remains conscious during the attack.

Penny recounts her past with Zatch, but he fails to recognize her due to memory loss. Enraged, she pursues him to school, breaking through doors. Kiyo identifies her as a mamodo and flees with Zatch to an empty pool with their teammates. Penny explains her hatred stems from Zatch’s amnesia. The conflict escalates into a battle where Zatch and Kiyo struggle against Penny’s overwhelming water magic.
