As the GPO closes in, Kurau and Christmas are forced to leave their previous lives behind. Despite their efforts to start anew, they find that certain habits are difficult to abandon. Kurau eventually accepts a position hunting down a group of art thieves. This assignment draws them further into a world of crime and evasion as they navigate the dangers posed by both the law and the criminals they pursue.
