Akihito receives a postcard from Yayoi warning of the Calm, a period weakening all youmu and risking Akihito’s immortality. Ai and Ayaka explain these dangers as Miroku intercepts Mitsuki, revealing the mirrored phenomenon was a fraction of the one Beyond the Boundary. Miroku discloses his Society mission to investigate the Nase family’s plans, noting Izumi saved Mirai from the Inami clan after Yui’s death. Hiroomi attacks Miroku near the shore before he escapes. Akihito suffers a flashback on the train, and Izumi puts him to sleep. Ayaka watches over him as the Calm begins at midnight, prompting Spirit World Warriors like Shizuku and Izumi to slaughter youmu. Hiroomi and Mitsuki learn of Akihito’s state and a giant youmu, while Sakura convinces Mirai to return. Ayaka attacks Miroku outside her shop to stop his capture attempt, but Izumi intervenes. Mirai rushes back as Akihito’s youmu half awakens.
