During the 75th Norkia Cup race, vanship courier Ralph Wednesday is pursued and wounded by star-shaped fighters. While Claus and Lavie challenge defending champion Hurricane Hawk for the lead, Ralph’s vanship crosses their path, causing a crash that forces Claus to abandon the race. Claus and Lavie locate the dying Ralph, who is tasked with delivering a girl named Al. They agree to take over his mission but are discovered by a fighter. Ralph acts as a decoy and detonates a bomb to allow them to escape. Claus and Lavie flee via the river, learning that Al must be transported to the Silvana for custody by Alex Row.
