Shinobu Maehara is experiencing a difficult period as her parents divorce and she lacks friends while relocating from Hinata. She accidentally encounters Keitaro and takes his sketchbook, discovering sketches of herself smiling within. Understanding her situation, Keitaro invites her to the apartment for a farewell gathering. When her parents arrive, Keitaro and the other residents conceal Shinobu from view. Following a conversation on the roof where Keitaro praises her cooking skills, Shinobu decides to inform her parents that she intends to remain at the apartment. Her parents eventually agree, allowing Shinobu to reside at the Hinata Apartments in the role of cook.
