Ep. 73: Yuu departs for New York to spare Miki from family complications

Miki is confused by Yuu’s sudden breakup despite their shared history. Yuu had previously concealed the truth that his and Miki’s parents dated in college, and that Jin, Miki’s father, is also his father, to protect Miki’s relationship with her parents. To avoid further pain, Yuu chooses to return to New York early, ending their contact. At the airport, Meiko attempts to confront Yuu for hurting Miki. However, Miwa intervenes, pulling Meiko aside to explain that she lacks the full context. Miwa reveals that Yuu is suffering just as much as Miki, urging understanding rather than anger.
