Ep. 8: Keaton investigates Kayoko Kida's past and recovers stolen evidence from Usami.

Keaton visits Taihei Hiraga at a cottage where Naomi resides, then tracks down Kayoko Kida, a window designer suspecting Taihei is her father. She recounts following him as a child and reveals her mother’s suicide after Taihei vanished. Kayoko explains her mother’s cynical view of men and her own rise from an orphanage via scholarship. However, her business partner Usami betrayed her, stealing her seal and database discs. Keaton breaks into Usami’s apartment, deploying Taisuke to locate the discs behind the bed. After recovering the items, Kayoko drops Keaton off, hoping for future meetings. Back at the cottage, Keaton clarifies that Taihei lived on the third floor of the slum apartment, while the second floor housed a pimp killed by Kayoko’s mother.
