Ep. 12: Keaton investigates Edgar Fisher while Daniel dates Louise Brown, who manipulates events to protect Reed's estate.

Keaton informs Daniel about Edgar Fisher, the illegitimate son of the late Mr. Reed and an elusive insurance beneficiary. Daniel introduces Keaton to Louise Brown, a secretary at her uncle’s precious metals firm, during a bar meeting. Keaton discovers Edgar previously played bass for the indie rock band Fires under the alias Ted Thunderstorm. After Edgar knocks Keaton unconscious with a beer bottle and flees, Keaton learns Edgar was fired from a music store following an anonymous call. Suspecting someone is warning Edgar, Keaton subdues him in an alley, where Edgar reveals he receives random warnings about police. Louise intercepts Daniel, admitting she manipulated Keaton and tipped off Edgar to prevent the insurance money from being split with Reed’s three legitimate sons. Despite having an incarcerated husband, Louise enjoyed her time with Daniel. Keaton returns to the bar to spend time with Daniel, while a remorseful Louise departs on a bus.
