Ep. 227: Conan exposes Shimizu as the killer using a hidden needle and impersonation

An autopsy identifies Tetrodotoxin as the cause of Bitou's death. Conan deduces the murder method and culprit, then tranquilizes Sonoko to impersonate her while accusing Shimizu. He explains that Shimizu used Bitou's game avatar to hide the fact that Bitou was already dead. The weapon was a needle concealed in a cigarette, attached to gum and paper to stick to the victim's shoes. Conan predicts a coin with Shimizu's fingerprint in the arcade machine. Shimizu confesses, revealing Bitou's gambling debts forced his sister to work excessively, leading to Vitamin A deficiency and blindness. As Ran, Sonoko, and Jodie depart, Jodie refers to Shinichi as Cool Guy. Later, Jodie contacts an unknown person, noting that her target, the Rotten Apple, has changed his appearance.
