Ep. 224: Conan exposes Kimie as the serial killer who murdered victims lured by trusted associates.
Conan clears the suspects and reveals the killer is elder Mikoto, unmasked as Kimie. She faked her death in a warehouse fire using Saori’s corpse, aided by identical dental work. Conan explains the elder is a descendant continuing the arrow story. Heiji and Kazuha arrive to confirm this. Kimie states her mother was the previous elder, known to the town. Three years ago, Saori, Naoko, and Toshimi locked Kimie’s mother in the burning warehouse to test her immortality. Saori developed psychotic tendencies regarding immortality and indirectly confessed to the murder. Kaori had pretended to be the elder for her mother. The islanders apologize for their silence as Kimie cries from guilt. Although Kazuha stabbed Heiji’s hand on the cliff, he refused to let go, and Kaori is arrested.
