Ep. 232: Mouri Kogoro investigates threats against Mitsuo Yoshimura, who dies after jumping from a sixth-floor balcony.

Mouri Kogoro and Conan witness Mitsuo Yoshimura fall to his death after receiving threatening calls. Conan infiltrates Joji Ueda’s room on the floor above to find clues, discovering moved furniture indentations. He deduces that Yoshimura did not jump from the fifth floor but was drugged with sleeping pills in whiskey by Ueda. Ueda had rearranged his own room to mimic Yoshimura’s, tricking the victim into believing he was in his own apartment. A flower delivery at 7:00pm was mistaken for attackers, causing Yoshimura to jump from the sixth floor to his death. Ueda’s guilt is confirmed by the lack of incoming calls during the crime. Motivated by debt and Yoshimura’s coercion to steal hospital drugs, Ueda killed his friend to prevent exposure of their crimes.
