Conan explains that Jiro, Subaro’s twin, brought chocolates to Nigaki’s corpse. The blood on the photo resulted from Nigaki cutting himself while chopping chocolate, not murder. Ako Amari is revealed as the killer because she alone could swap the film rolls. She confessed to killing Nigaki after he filmed her brother Nattsuya’s death in an avalanche without helping, though he was actually gathering evidence. Itakura and Sakami then betrayed the group, admitting they caused the avalanche to avoid blackmail from Nigaki. A suspicious man knocked out Itakura, and Sakami shot goggles off Makoto. Ran subdued Sakami. Makoto confronted Sonoko about missing Valentine's gifts until she revealed the chocolate was for him. Ran later woke to find her jacket and a photo from Detective Kid, who was Conan using Shinichi’s voice.
