Professor Agasa visits an onsen with the Detective Boys to repair a product. They meet four drama actors filming a hitman story. Due to crowds, the group plans to bathe early. Haibara and Ayumi find scriptwriter Ganji Tetsuyama dead in the women's section. Police initially rule it an accident caused by slipping on soap. Conan argues it is murder, noting water on the body indicates the killer washed off blood. Authorities suspect the culprit waited on the veranda. They investigate the three remaining cast members for sauna entry without alibis.
