The Fox, Japan's top assassin, kills a bank president and indirectly causes a girl's death on a school bus. Bruno Ushton, believing he has cancer, hires The Fox to kill him during a trip but later realizes he has an ulcer. Desperate, Bruno asks Richard to locate him as contact is lost. Richard, Rachel, and Conan travel to Tanbara Mountain, meeting Sarah, Jared, Adam Duke, Sebastian LeClaire, and guide Garrett Burke. Garrett is murdered en route, and his body is preserved as evidence. The group stays in Jericho's mountain cabin. Radio reports a man's murder and stolen money, with police hunting a couple. Jared and Sarah deny involvement. Richard is attacked, and Sebastian goes missing. Conan finds Sebastian in a cave, deducing his claustrophobia. Upon returning to the cabin, Rachel screams.
