Security systems force hackers to retreat despite tripping the dockside breaker. Chiaki informs Marika that monitoring organizations will leave her alone until her letter of marque renews. The space yacht club takes exams before summer vacation starts. Kane, Misa, and other students join Marika and Chiaki for a trip in the Odette II around the Tau Ceti system. When solar sails activate, the main mast jams with the upper yard. Unable to fix it automatically, Kane suits up Marika, Chiaki, and others to repair it manually. Marika determines the correct angle to free the mast. After all sails open, the group returns inside. Marika admires the view of her home planet from space.
