Kaoru navigates the Orion ashore for a lunch break, where the children reflect on their growth and parents. Luna feels isolated as an orphan, prompting Bell to clumsily offer his family support, which Howard misinterprets as a marriage proposal. After Howard teases Bell, he and Luna retreat to view a nest guarded by ostrich-like birds, during which Luna realizes she has found a new family among her peers. The others eavesdrop on this revelation. As the group prepares to return to the ship, Adam suddenly collapses with a fever, ending their day on a worrying note.
