Ep. 38: Luna survives the storm and finds rescue after a night on a sand cay

Bell attempts to pursue Luna into the storm but is restrained by his companions. Kaoru fails to steer the ship due to storm precautions. Shingo blames himself for the weather, while Chako trusts Luna’s survival skills. Luna endures rough seas, relying on her lifejacket and memories of her father. She washes ashore on a small sand cay the next morning. She struggles to find food, water, and fire, sustaining injuries in the process. Eventually, she starts a fire using a bow drill technique from a movie. This sparks a memory of camping with her father in a colony forest dome, where they discussed terraforming. She wakes early to find her hands fully healed. That evening, she hears Adam’s voice in her mind and joyfully spots the Orion approaching from the sunset.
