While cleaning the school on the last day of the semester, Natsumi and Hotaru weed and water the garden together. Natsumi notices this is their first time alone and struggles to find conversation topics. After summer vacation begins, the children start their homework but quickly become bored. Hotaru then shares that her parents are going to buy some fireworks.
