Gigalt Gangaragash, Hachimaki's former instructor, visits the Debris Section for a safety inspection. Hachimaki asks Tanabe about her relationship status, revealing he once dated Claire. During a haul supervised by Gigalt, the crew stops illegal dumpers. Hachimaki gets stuck to a vessel, while Gigalt suffers thruster damage and is rescued by Tanabe. Hakim Ashmead from the Orbital Security Agency arrives to arrest the violators and free Hachimaki. While repairing Gigalt's suit, Tanabe discovers he has cancer and is instructed to keep this secret from Hachimaki.
