The Explorers Coral and Sidian launch an unauthorized attack on the castle, enabling Diana to escape. Following an emergency call from Friede, the Rising Volt Tacklers arrive to rescue Liko and Roy from the Explorers. Diana chooses to join the Rising Volt Tacklers, entrusting Lucius' memoirs to Liko and urging them to gather the Six Heroes.

Although Dot has never tried the dish before, she accepts and ultimately appreciates the meal, expressing gratitude to Liko. Following this, the Rising Volt Tacklers plan to search an antique shop for information about ancient Poké Balls. Simultaneously, the Explorers gather to address Terapagos and the Six Heroes. Amethio suggests that Arboliva and Moltres were roused by Rayquaza, leading the team to focus their efforts on capturing the legendary dragon.

The group chases him through the town, believing he works for the Explorers. They catch him in a park, where he uses sleeping powder against Liko and Roy's Pokémon. However, Cap defeats Tepen's entire team. Diana scolds Tepen for his dishonesty and reminds him of his past love for adventure. Tepen feels remorseful and apologizes. He then leads them to his client, who is actually a Poké Ball craftsman.

Later, Roy inadvertently provokes a swarm of Galarian Weezing that threatens the factory. Orla inventively helps save the facility from the attack. Following this event, Orla declines Karna's job offer and returns to travel with her friends.

She shows that the Polteageist transformed her teacup into a Sinistea, indicating the crew allowed Liko and Roy to uncover the mystery independently. Suspecting foul play, Friede uses cargo as bait to lure the culprits back into the mist. This strategy reveals a group of thieving Pokémon riding a Wailord. The investigation uncovers that the Lapras is actually the leader of these thieves, having generated the mist to deceive sailors and facilitate the thefts.

Dec 8, 2023The Rising Volt Tacklers chase Lapras and its band of pirate Pokémon to reason with them, but Lapras freezes the Brave Olivine to the water with its Ice Beam to protect its companions. Noticing a trail of empty food crates from other sailors the Pokémon have robbed, Liko and her friends are able to find Lapras' hideout, where they convince Lapras of their intentions. With the support of Terapagos and Lucius' other Pokémon, Lapras shows Liko's group its memory of Lucius claiming he will still be alive and waiting for his Pokémon in Laqua. After Liko promises to help find Lucius, the other pirate Pokémon unveil Lapras' ancient Poké Ball and persuade Lapras to join Liko while they continue to fend for themselves. Following this, Liko's group sees the black Rayquaza flying overhead.

The following day, Diana battles Liko and Roy to restore their confidence after their discouraging encounter with Rayquaza. Concurrently, Amethio returns to the Explorers' base, determined to grow stronger.

Meanwhile, Spinel and fellow Explorer Chalce overhear this exchange and plot to seize Rayquaza for themselves.
