After becoming the Orange League Champion by defeating Drake, Ash and his companions travel toward Pallet Town in Kanto. Their journey is interrupted when Lapras reunites with its family, only to find the pack rejects it due to its association with humans. The group soon witnesses pirates and their Tentacruel attacking the Lapras herd. As bullying intensifies, Tracey leaves to warn Officer Jenny. Ash and Misty choose to intervene directly, determined to defeat the pirates and protect the Lapras from further harassment.
