Iris explains such pearls are national treasures, so she hides the item in exchange for gold to open a capital store. Impressed by Mitsuha’s business acumen, the family comforts her as she cries while thinking of her relatives. Claus subsequently sends her to the capital in his carriage, providing a sponsorship letter and an open invitation to return.
