Ep. 81: Kenshin Investigates Kaishu's Hidden Money and the Beni Aoi Threat

Kenshin visits Kaishu and discovers he is hiding funds from the government, which the Beni Aoi seeks. Kaishu receives instructions to meet at a temple late at night, with a promise that his daughter will remain safe if he cooperates. Although Kenshin is advised against attending, he brings others, including Daigoro, to the location before Kaishu arrives. While there, Daigoro spots Itsuko attempting to flee but trips and falls. He then charges forward and is stabbed during the confrontation.
