Yutaro Tsukayama returns to the dojo accompanied by Professor Hans, leading to a reunion with the group. The Black Knights pursue Hans to obtain something from him. The group visits the Akabeko to celebrate Yutaro's return, but Kenshin remains behind after the others depart. The Black Knights attack Hans, stealing a map from his possession before retreating when Kenshin intervenes. After Hans is brought back for treatment, he reveals to Yutaro that he left a notebook and a rock under the dojo porch as clues regarding the location of a divine elixir.
