Ep. 12: Yuito and Kagero uncover truths about Design Children and the Kunad Gate
Yuito’s platoon accesses an AI resembling Kyoka, which reveals she is a Design Child created by Togetsu. The system explains that Earth’s orbit shifted 3,000 years ago, forcing humanity to the Moon until the planet healed. Survivors returned to establish New Himuka, but contact was lost due to Extinction Belt interference. The AI notes the Kunad Gate, linked to Yuito’s psionic power, will consume Earth, fulfilling Togetsu faith beliefs. Unable to provide more data, the AI directs them to BABE. Meanwhile, Kagero rescues Kasane, who realizes through a dream that she is a Design Child capable of manipulating time and space. Kagero warns against visiting Togetsu and confirms Yuito has reached BABE. Upon touching the advanced system, Yuito is paralyzed by an overwhelming influx of knowledge.
