Olmecs assault Mayans, prompting Mendoza to aid Papacamayo. The children encounter Gaspard and Gomez, who deny working for Pizarro and agree to help rescue the Condor after Esteban falsely claims Mendoza died. With their assistance, the group lifts the bird, causing Gaspard and Gomez to fall into a tree. Esteban dive-bombs the Olmecs, scattering them, but Papacamayo suffers a fatal wound during the chaos. The episode concludes with a mini-documentary on the history of Guatemala City.
