Noriko and Kazumi arrive at the space fleet commanded by the battleship Exelion, where they meet the skilled pilot Jung Freud. During a mech training session, Jung spars with Kazumi, leading them to discover an enemy mech in a secluded station area. Subsequently, the two girls are assigned a special mission to investigate an object moving at near light speed. Due to quantum physics and time dilation, this task, which should take only a few minutes, extends over several months. Upon arrival, they identify the object as the Lexion, the vessel previously commanded by Noriko's father.
