Sorata and Arashi theorize that Sakura's feather is hidden within a powerful Kudan. While the group considers how to locate it, Shōgo’s girlfriend, Primera, kidnaps Mokona and Masayoshi to draw Shōgo’s attention, leaving a challenge letter for Syaoran, Fai, and Kurogane. Unable to communicate directly since Mokona usually serves as their magical translator, the trio travels to Hanshin Castle. Primera agrees to release the hostages if they fight her. Fai accepts, using his flying Kudan to defeat her. Upon Shōgo’s arrival, Mokona senses the feather is nearby. Shōgo then challenges Syaoran to a battle to gauge his strength.
