Irina suffers from anemia after a nightmare, prompting Lev to offer his blood to restore her strength. She questions his fear of accidents, and he explains that dreams justify risking one's life. Korovin’s request to delay the launch is denied, and he is ordered to install a self-destruct system to prevent the reentry module from landing outside Zirnitra's borders. During G-force training, Franz sabotages the machine to kill Irina. Lev manually shuts it down to save her, angering Sagalevich, who beats Irina with his garlic necklace. Lev intervenes and is arrested for assaulting a superior officer. With the launch imminent, Irina must travel to the launch site at Albinar without Lev.
