As the Ushiromiya family convenes for their annual gathering, Battler and Beatrice initiate a meta-world debate contrasting logic and magic. Maria irritates Rosa by discussing Beatrice, resulting in her being sent outside. Rosa later returns to protect Maria from an approaching storm, where Beatrice manifests as an anonymous guest and distributes envelopes to both women. Concurrently, Shannon identifies Beatrice's malicious plans and resolves to oppose her. George subsequently proposes to Shannon, requesting her decision by the following day, which she promptly accepts. During the dinner, the siblings realize their guest is Beatrice and ultimately accept her status as a witch.
