Ep. 12: Ataru meets Ten and Sakura gains a rival while Ten plans a date

Ataru leaves home after his parents welcome Lum, only to discover his cousin Ten in a mailbox. The pair visit Sakura’s temple for New Year celebrations, encountering Cherry, Shinobu, and Ran, who works part-time there. Ran uses quick thinking to conceal her alien identity from the group. Ataru becomes enraged when Ten disrupts his attempts to flirt with the girls, resulting in Sakura attracting a new admirer. In the second segment, Ataru assists Ten in drafting a love letter to Sakura and organizing a romantic outing. Despite their efforts, the planned date fails to proceed as intended, leading to unexpected complications for the young suitor.
