Ep. 4: Wolves trapped by blizzard, Tsume injured by mech, and Cher vanishes with a mysterious book.

A blizzard forces the wolves into a cave where they have not eaten for three days. Hige detects a deer carcass, but Tsume leaves angrily when others mention Paradise, with Toboe following. They reach city ruins where Toboe triggers a sentry mech. Tsume saves Toboe from being shot but is hit in the leg. The mech pursues them into a valley, causing them to fall. Kiba and Hige locate the military installation and search for the pair. Toboe attempts to distract the mech while Tsume escapes, but the machine corners Tsume. Kiba attacks the mech with a rock slab and draws its fire up a snowy slope. The gunfire triggers an avalanche that buries the machine. Meanwhile, Cher gives Hubb a key to water her plants before leaving on leave. She kisses him, dazing him, then enters a black car with men. Hubb finds no plants at her house, only a scarf wrapped around a copy of the Book of the Moon in her desk drawer.
