Ep. 5: The wolves encounter a bridge smelling of Lunar Flowers leading to a city ruled by Zali and Cole.
Four wolves cross a bridge scented with Lunar Flowers to find a dying island city. There, they meet Zali, a dark gray wolf, and his mate Cole, who mock the quest for Paradise, claiming it is actually Hell. An old wolf in a graveyard reveals that Lunar Flowers once covered the island before being removed. He shows a boarded tunnel smelling of death that leads to Paradise. Zali orders the group to leave. Kiba and Tsume argue about Paradise's existence, splitting up. Kiba is beaten by Zali's pack after insulting them. The next day, Hige joins Tsume and Toboe at a station. They witness Zali's pack harnessed like dogs by humans to haul cargo, including the old wolf who dies in his harness. Kiba arrives, enraged, but Zali restrains him. The pack buries the deceased wolf in his prepared grave.
