After Yui ceases attending Service Club meetings, Hachiman and Yukino are tasked with recruiting a new member. Yukino suggests inviting Yui back by celebrating her birthday. The pair shops for gifts at a mall, eventually choosing trendy accessories, before encountering Yukino's older sister, Haruno Yukinoshita, who teases them. They unexpectedly meet Yui, who is invited to the next meeting. During the session, Yukino explains the plan to thank Yui for her contributions. Hachiman clarifies that Yui owes him nothing and should not pity him. Yui denies pitying him but is speechless. Yukino bridges the gap by sincerely proposing they start anew, leading them to agree on a fresh path forward.
