Bando meets Balalaika regarding her attacks on the Kosa Council, but she refuses to alter her plans. Subsequently, Chaka beats Rock, prompting Revy to vow revenge and request her pistols from Benny. Rock then converses with Yukio about life choices, quoting Jean-Paul Sartre, before she reveals her surname is Washimine. Rock deduces her connection to the Washimine Group. Meanwhile, Bando and Ginji discuss succession rules, noting only a direct descendant of the former boss can lead. The next day, Bando tries to assassinate Balalaika but fails and is killed. Upon learning this, Yukio, identified as the granddaughter of the previous leader, accepts the role of Washimine Group head, and Ginji pledges his loyalty to her.
