Ep. 36: Annie's Envy and Archibald's Confession at Saint Paul's Academy
Annie Brighton arrives at Saint Paul's Academy and meets Candy at an Ardley meeting arranged by Alistear and Archibald. Envious of Archibald's attention toward Candy, Annie begs her not to steal him, but Candy insists they are only friends. Archibald later confronts Candy after seeing her give Terry a harmonica, expressing jealousy and revealing his long-standing love for her. Annie overhears this and flees heartbroken. When Candy chases her, Annie accuses Candy of being everyone's favorite, a claim Eliza and Louisa expose by revealing Annie's past at Pony's Home. Candy finds Annie in a cave but leaves Archibald to speak with her. Archibald realizes he loves Candy but thinks of Annie constantly, convincing Annie of his feelings. As Annie recovers from a fever, Candy and Annie finally make peace.
