During firearms training, cadets fail to hit targets with live rounds, but Misaki’s abilities emerge, allowing her to strike every target and avoid a trick civilian dummy. Prim identifies this as precognition, suggesting prior knowledge despite feigning ignorance. In a subsequent exercise, Misaki’s braking thrusters malfunction, causing her to crash into the Core. Her R.A. is subsequently attacked by dozens of unknown mechas stationed there. Lyar launches to pursue her and drives the attackers off. After removing Misaki from the Core, Lyar swears her to secrecy regarding the presence of the enemy mechas.
