Dororo and Hyakkimaru reach a fishing village where Dororo removes an old harpoon from rocks, releasing a skeleton ray-monster named Bira-Bira. A girl named Sayo demands the weapon's return. Hyakkimaru pursues the creature into the ocean and vanishes. Believing him dead, villagers sacrifice Dororo and Sayo to appease the monster. Hyakkimaru reappears to defeat the beast, recovering his teeth in the process.
