Ep. 27: Goku travels on Nimbus while allies attempt tail-grab strategy against Nappa but fail.

Goku rides the Nimbus cloud toward the battlefield while Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan formulate a plan to defeat Nappa by pulling his tail to weaken him. Piccolo seizes Nappa's tail as Gohan moves in for the final blow, but the Saiyans have evolved beyond this vulnerability. The strategy fails, allowing Nappa to assault Piccolo and Krillin. Left alone, Gohan launches a powerful blast at Nappa, who retaliates with a lethal attack aimed at the boy. Piccolo, having grown fond of Gohan, shields him from the blast, absorbing the full force of Nappa's strike to protect the young Saiyan.
