Ep. 30: Lightning strike leaves Tamahome unconscious while Nuriko reveals his tragic past

Struck by lightning, Tamahome remains unconscious in a cave while Nuriko playfully flirts with Miaka. Upon waking, Tamahome vows to protect Miaka, prompting Nuriko to share his guilt over failing to save his sister Korin, whose death led him to crossdress. A second lightning strike causes Miaka and Tamahome to float above the sea, but Nuriko saves them as his Taiitsukun bracelets transform into armbands. Chichiri and the group eventually locate them. Onboard a ship, Soi attacks Miaka with electricity, but Miaka defends herself using Hotohori's holy sword and defeats her. As the storm dissipates, the group arrives at Hokkan, the land of Genbu, where the Shinzaho resides.
