A violent uprising erupts at Rugpool prison, where 5000 political prisoners are detained. The rioters possess unexpected weaponry, causing the situation to worsen as Bittenfeld's lancers engage the military police. By nightfall, more than 4000 prisoners have died or sustained injuries. Following reports of the riots and martial law in Heinessen, Julian's envoy fleet returns to Iserlohn. Meanwhile, Rubinsky is taken into custody by Oberstein's agents. In response, Reinhard orders the immediate release of all political prisoners and dispatches Müller to invite the Julian envoy to return to Heinessen for further negotiations.
