Miki Kawakami is enslaved by Meiko Shimono, a wealthy recluse who holds Miki’s Welsh Corgies hostage after they bit her. After Shimono kills one dog, Miki contacts Ai Enma for help. While Hajime intervenes, Tsugumi questions the morality of punishing those who deserve it. It is revealed that Shimono murdered her parents and child to retain her inheritance. Although Shimono is arrested, Miki discovers she also killed the remaining dog’s newborn puppies. Overcome with regret for her earlier hesitation, Miki pulls the string, sending Shimono to Hell. The narrative notes that Shimono’s abuse extended to all who moved near her, distinguishing her from typical criminal gangs.
