A rift develops between Hajime and Tsugumi due to opposing views on vengeance; Hajime argues that revenge causes further suffering, while Tsugumi believes those sent to Hell deserve their fate. Goro Suetsugu, whose wife Noriko Hayashi is cheating on him, asks Ai to send her to Hell because she is a golddigger who views men as wealth sources. This situation reminds Hajime of his past, where he neglected his wife Ayumi and their new baby Tsugumi by focusing on work. Ayumi became lonely and cheated on him. After Hajime left her, Ayumi died in a car accident.
