Lupin forces Goemon to gain the trust of Chloé Cazal, who possesses a priceless gem necklace linked to the late André Regnie. This treasure makes her a target for the original owners' descendants. While searching for her in Sirena, Goemon befriends a local boy named Jean and stays at his family's hotel to guard Chloé. He spends all his funds defending against hired assassins. Eventually, Goemon learns the woman is actually Inés, Chloé's daughter, and the necklace is a fake. Inés used herself as bait so her mother could sell the genuine item. With no money remaining, Goemon agrees to stay with Inés and work to pay off his substantial hotel debt.
