Ep. 1038: Furuya reflects on Date's advice regarding strength and justice in the Police Academy Arc.

During an arresting technique class, Date defeats Furuya and questions why he did not exploit his own weakness. Date asserts that one must be stronger than others to carry out justice. Later, Furuya lies alone in bed contemplating these words. Morobushi visits Furuya's room to announce he is going out and asks if Furuya needs anything purchased. Furuya realizes he is out of toothpaste and leaves to ask for it, but finds Morobushi, Hagiwara, and Matsuda have already departed. Consequently, Furuya decides to go to the convenience store by himself. Upon going outside, he encounters Date and begins discussing past events involving his father.
