Marika assists Gruier in ordering royal ships to stop hostilities as the Bentenmaru boards a damaged vessel. They meet Yotof Sif Sideux and Catherine, who provide a data storage device revealing the golden ghost ship's location. Marika encounters Chiaki at school, learning the Barbaroosa has been hired to find and destroy ships pursuing the ghost ship. Jenny arranges a space cruise on the Odette II to facilitate Marika and Gruier's return to the Bentenmaru without affecting their attendance. That night, Marika and Ririka meet the crew at a private restaurant. Hyakume explains the ghost ship is an early colony transport, and the device shows its galactic travel pattern. With this knowledge and awareness of the dangers, Marika commands the Bentenmaru to depart via FTL.
