Brock Returns to Pewter City to Restore the Rock Gym
Dec 3, 2002Brock returns to Pewter City to find his father Flint hiding from their mother Lola, who has converted the Gym into a Water-type facility. Flint fears Lola and refuses to challenge her, so Brock proposes a battle where victory restores the Rock-type status, while defeat forces his siblings to become Water-type trainers. During the match, Flint’s Golem is defeated by Lola’s Marill and Blastoise, prompting Lola to reminisce about their past, which briefly reunites the couple. Brock remains unimpressed by their reconciliation and the compromise to create a dual-type Gym. His brother Forrest storms out in protest. The following day, Brock battles Lola using Onix against her Mantine. Onix uses Dig to drain the water, allowing it to defeat Mantine and restore the Gym to its original Rock-type state. The family supports Brock as he departs for Hoenn.

Misty Confronts Her Phobia and the Gym Brothers in Cerulean City
Dec 10, 2002Misty returns to Cerulean City to serve as Gym Leader, fearing the Pokemon Investigation Agency will shut down the facility. She discovers an agitated Gyarados in the pool and, despite her childhood phobia, attempts to calm it with a water show. The creature creates a whirlpool, causing Misty to faint. Upon waking, she cages Gyarados to protect others, unaware that the Invincible Pokemon Brothers Kim, Kail, and Kai are spying. Kim challenges Misty for leadership. During the battle, Kim’s Hitmonchan uses an illegal trick, but Nurse Joy rules it a victory for Misty’s Staryu. The brothers then gang up on Corsola with two Tentacruel. Nurse Joy disqualifies them for cheating, but they attack Gyarados to force a reversal. Misty shields Gyarados, which breaks free and defeats the brothers. Nurse Joy reveals she is an inspection agent and the gym passes. Misty asks Nurse Joy to tell Ash she is now a real Gym Leader.

Team Rocket Mistaken for Heroes While Battling Professor Brown's Friendly Robots
Dec 17, 2002A mad scientist sends a giant robot to a village, prompting Kate to summon angels of justice. Team Rocket arrives and is mistaken for the heroic Team Righteous after disabling the machine. They accept the role to conquer the village, using the destroyed robot to build a Meowthmobile. Inside the castle, they meet Professor Brown, who created the robots to befriend villagers and assist with farming. A swarm of Taillow threatens the harvest, so Brown equips the Meowthmobile with rocket power. He then vacuums up the birds, saving the crops and becoming a local hero. Kate asks James to remain, and he agrees, but accidentally blasts Team Rocket and the Meowthmobile into the sky, leaving the villagers with a lasting memory of their supposed heroism.

As Butch and Cassidy attempt to escape via helicopter, they are hindered by an affectionate Nidoking and Muk. Tracey locates the hidden aircraft with Noctowl’s help, while Totodile warns Professor Oak and Delia. The group confronts the thieves, leading to a battle where Professor Oak’s Bulbasaur, Tracey’s Scyther, and Delia’s Mr. Mime defeat Team Rocket’s Hitmontop and Houndour. The villains are blasted away, ensuring the safety of the Pokemon and restoring peace to the lab.

Feb 25, 2003Misty struggles with Psyduck’s fear of water during swimming lessons with Tracey. Sakura arrives to challenge Misty for the Cascade Badge, but the Gym is out of stock. The trio travels to Rifure Village to find artisan Kinzo, rescuing the injured craftsman along the way. Kinzo demands they earn the badges through rigorous labor, including 4 AM runs and wood splitting. After two days of training, a final test involves battling Kinzo’s Feraligatr. Psyduck falls into a pond, causing Kinzo to doubt Misty’s worthiness. Thieves steal the badges, but Psyduck uses Confusion to defeat their Poochyena and Zigzagoon. Impressed by this display, Kinzo grants the badges, allowing Misty to battle Sakura. Sakura’s Espeon wins with Psybeam, earning her the Cascade Badge.

Mar 4, 2003In a busy city, the Pichu Bros. summon Smoochum, Wooper, Magby, and Teddiursa to play. Meowth, on vacation from Team Rocket, seeks a location for a personal monument but trips over Smoochum. Smoochum accidentally takes Meowth's picnic basket, leading to a chase where the group plays keep away. Meowth retrieves the basket but steps on a sleeping Houndour, causing it to flee. The basket rolls into Teddiursa's path, who consumes its contents. Meanwhile, the Pichu Bros. assist Azumarill in caring for Azurill, who vanishes. They enlist friends to locate the bouncing Pokémon. Meowth attempts to woo Skitty with roses, a cake, and a serenade, but Azurill repeatedly interferes by swapping items or eating the gifts. The Pokémon friends eventually capture Azurill, leaving Meowth trapped under a Snorlax. Disheartened by his failed romantic efforts, Meowth abandons his quest for love and chooses to take a peaceful nap instead.

Professor Oak Vanishes After TV Appearance, Sparky and Charmeleon Rescue Him

The rescuers arrive just as Cassidy and Butch deploy Sableye and Mightyena against Tracey’s Scyther and Richie’s Pikachu. Richie then sends out Charmeleon to assist. Together, Sparky and Charmeleon defeat the villains and their Pokemon, blasting them away. Officer Jenny ensures Professor Oak and DJ Mary return safely for their show, and Richie receives an invitation to visit the lab.

Meowth Chases a Floating Sandwich and Fails at a Pizza Delivery Job
Jun 17, 2003Meowth attempts to enjoy a picnic in the park, but its sandwich begins floating away. While chasing it, Meowth disrupts a reception Azumarill is hosting for Azurill, causing all the Pokémon to pursue the food. Teddiursa eventually catches and eats the sandwich. The group then finds a footprint suggesting an invisible Pokémon was responsible. The following day, Meowth takes a pizza delivery job to save money for a monument. However, the delivery goes wrong as Smoochum clashes with the Squirtle gang and Wooper, Teddiursa is crushed by Snorlax, the Pichu Bros. encounter Houndour, and everyone collides with Magby. The pizza is ruined, and Meowth loses the job.

Misty meets Georgio for a date while Butch and Cassidy steal Delcatty
Sep 2, 2003In Cerulean City, Misty receives a letter from Georgio, a Trainer seeking a date with tickets to an Electabuzz versus Starmies game. While Tracey cleans the pool, Misty and Casey meet Georgio, but Butch and Cassidy ambush them to steal Delcatty from the lighthouse. Georgio commands Pelipper to pursue the thieves, causing them to crash. Misty and Casey then battle Butch and Cassidy’s Mightyena and Sableye using Corsola and Meganium, securing Delcatty’s safety. The battle between Misty and Georgio resumes; despite Delcatty’s strong attacks, Corsola recovers and wins. Georgio honors his promise, giving Casey a ticket after she defeats his Delcatty with Elekid. Misty reflects on her day as a Gym Leader while Georgio and Casey attend the match.

James shared his food with Meowth, and Jessie eventually contributed her own supplies. During a bridge crossing, James fell into a river to save his partners. He recovered in time for the final test: stealing a red Snorlax from an office tower. James joined the mission despite his injuries. In the final room, Jessie saved James and Meowth from a pit trap, refusing to let go. Although time expired, their persistence earned them full agent status. The Snorlax was revealed to be Drill Sergeant Viper in disguise. The group reflects on their bond as they continue their adventures together.

A Celebi reveals a hidden carving to Richie, transporting him to the past, the day before the Center’s opening. There, he rescues a young Joy from a cliff and meets Nick, who is carving a Celebi statue. During a storm, Nick saves Joy from a falling tree and lightning, inspiring her nursing career. Richie later convinces Nick to return, preventing a landslide and allowing him to confess his feelings to Joy. Celebi returns Richie to the present, where the Center is restored, Nick serves as mayor, and the town has reverted to a peaceful, green community.

Back at the lab, Gilbert realizes the value of these Pokemon. He chooses to keep the small Bulbasaur, thanking Ash's Bulbasaur before beginning his own journey.

Mar 16, 2004Professor Oak and Tracey visit an island where Gary studies ancient fossils. Upon arrival, they encounter a rampaging Aerodactyl revived from a fossilized Egg using amber. Butch and Cassidy track the group, while Crystal, sister of researcher Dara, organizes a search with her Pokemon. A Farfetch'd locates the sleeping creature, which flees when Tracey attempts to approach it. Team Rocket captures Aerodactyl in a net, but Gary’s Umbreon and Crystal’s Ivysaur defeat them, allowing the Pokemon to escape. Researchers determine its diet to understand its behavior, finding it feeding in a fruit grove. Butch and Cassidy return with a helicopter to steal Aerodactyl. Gary’s Dodrio attacks the vehicle, freeing the creature. Gary offers fruit as a peace offering, calming Aerodactyl, which happily eats alongside Crystal. The island returns to normal, and Professor Oak and Tracey depart for Pallet Town.

Sep 14, 2004Team Rocket agents Butch and Cassidy infiltrate the Cerulean Gym to steal a Luvdisc named Luverin. The gym houses two Luvdisc, Luverin and Kasurin, whose unrequited affection threatens Daisy’s planned underwater show. After the villains abduct Luverin, Daisy, Tracey, and Misty pursue them using Kasurin’s tracking abilities. The heroes are captured in a pit trap, and Kasurin is also stolen. With their other Pokemon absent, Misty urges the two Luvdisc to escape. The fish flee into a river but are blocked by nets. Misty and Daisy arrive to command the Luvdisc to battle Team Rocket’s Mightyena and Sableye. Using a Love Love Water Gun combo, the Luvdisc defeat the villains. Kasurin’s bravery wins Luverin’s heart, allowing the pair to star in the romantic show.

Sep 21, 2004Casey is dismayed by her favorite baseball team, the Electabuzz, suffering their tenth consecutive loss after star pitcher Corey Demario suffers a shoulder injury. She discovers Corey is recovering at his father’s ranch, caring for a Charizard named Don that actually belongs to a boy named Benny. Corey hopes helping Don overcome its insecurity will restore his own pitching confidence, but initial attempts fail. Casey orchestrates a battle against an Ampharos to provoke Corey, which succeeds in making him vow to help Don personally. During a training flight, both Corey and Casey fall into a river canyon after slipping on storm-slicked rocks. Don, previously paralyzed by water, leaps in to save them and flies them to safety, regaining its ability to use Flamethrower. Corey returns to the mound, fully recovered, with Don supporting him from the air.

Richie Follows Silver to Volcano Where Moltres Appears and Team Rocket Attacks
Sep 28, 2004On the S.S. Anne, Silver uses Salamence to clear Gyarados blocking the path. Richie suspects researchers with Silver are suspicious after they sneak onto an evacuated volcanic island. He follows them and learns they want to capture Moltres for science, but overhears they are actually Butch and Cassidy. Silver allows Richie to join despite the deception. At the volcano summit, Moltres appears weak because it recharges energy there. Team Rocket sends Cloyster and Tentacruel to capture the legendary bird while Silver refuses to help. They trap Silver and Richie in a net, but Chikorita cuts them free and Pikachu blasts Team Rocket away. Moltres dives into lava to recover and saves Silver from falling rocks. Silver flies Richie to safety, deciding to wait for Moltres to battle again.
