Kyoto Nadeshiko Kiyoko-san no Junjou Uraomote
京都なでしこキヨコさんの純情ウラオモテ
Kouya Torame attends high school in the Asakusa district of Tokyo, and his routine shifts when a transfer student joins his class. The newcomer, Kiyoko Shizuishi, arrives trailing a reputation: she is said to have rescued a struggling, long-established Kyoto inn, and her looks only deepen the stir among classmates. Kouya, however, is nagged by a sense that they have crossed paths before. The two did in fact know each other as children, and circumstances now place them under one roof. Outwardly Kiyoko embodies the refined, exceedingly courteous Kyoto manner, yet beneath that polish hides a teasing, cutting wit. Her layered nature keeps colliding with Kouya's plainspoken Tokyo temperament, fueling a lively, sharp-tongued comedy of everyday city life and budding affection.
